Answer The Call For Our Members

Our Commitment to Employee Safety

As COVID-19 continues to present unique challenges in the workplace, we want you to feel confident about how AAA protects and supports our employees. At AAA, our careers are varied and extensive with roles ranging from being member-focused in a branch to an educator in behind the wheel driver training or a problem-solver at the roadside, a calming voice over the phone in our contact centers or a collaborator among our business staff in an administrative office. Regardless of your position or place of work, rest assured that we continue to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as state and local health authorities. We also review and enhance our protocols regularly. The safety of our employees and members will always be our top priority.

AAA Is a Trusted Brand Because of Its Employees

Employees are the heart and soul of AAA, earning the trust of millions of members every day. They are loyal friends in our branches, supportive mentors in our driving schools and devoted guardians on the roadways. Lisa Berghorn, Pierre Laurent, David Hanson, Richard Phelan and Niko Metko talk about how those roles have led to fulfilling careers. Do you want to bring joy to others? Ease their worries? Be a hero in times of need? You can do all that and more at AAA Northeast.

Working at AAA: Our Culture

We Care Because You Care

Our employees enjoy fulfilling careers because caring about others is not just a job – it’s their way of life. They are generous by nature. They give heart and soul to help every member, most often during stressful and frustrating situations when empathy is as important as impeccable service. They offer the same kindness and compassion in their personal lives, devoting time, talent and resources to charitable efforts. We care about our employees, so we offer opportunities to do more for the charities they support.

  • We give employees paid time off to volunteer.
  • We match employee charitable donations dollar for dollar.
  • We support eight employee charitable committees throughout our territory, each funded with thousands of dollars and empowered to donate and provide volunteer support to community organizations of their choosing.
  • We have an additional employee charitable committee dedicated to supporting issues of social justice and underserved communities across our footprint.

You Belong Here

We support a work environment that welcomes diversity in all forms, where people are comfortable being themselves and feel valued for who they are. We believe this is our responsibility not just within our organization but within our society.

We have undertaken a long-term diversity, equity and inclusion initiative to develop and maintain a culture where everyone truly belongs. We have identified four priorities based on employee surveys and focus groups.

  1. Fostering an inclusive culture.
  2. Attracting and hiring diverse talent.
  3. Providing opportunity for growth and advancement.
  4. Delivering unconscious bias and inclusive leadership training.

We rely on our employees to help guide us on this journey.

Heroes Work Here (And So Do Their Families)

Protecting and defending our nation in military service is a true act of heroism. As an organization, we have the same sense of duty in serving our members. Veterans and active service members have valuable skills, and we offer opportunities to engage them in fulfilling careers of leadership, decision-making and service. Your talents help drive us forward.

We understand the difficulties of transitioning to civilian life and the strain that active deployment places on families. We are committed to providing support through these times. We offer a robust benefit package, including one-on-one coordination when discontinuing Tricare. We honor our employees for their military service with tributes both internally and externally every year.

We look out for the families of our service members when they are deployed, sending yellow ribbons to their homes so they know we care, and we want to help. We work with them to send care packages, cards and video messages to those deployed, and we provide “welcome home” signs upon their return.

We are committed to helping veterans and service members in our communities and support organizations such as Feed Our Vets, Operation Stand Down and Massachusetts Military Support Foundation with donations and volunteer efforts. We attend dedicated hiring events to seek out veterans, military personnel and their families for employment.

At AAA, we take care of one another and our members so we can have a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work.
