In partnership with Kids Helping Kids, AAA is collecting new and gently worn special occasion dresses of all sizes for the Handled with Care Dress Boutique. The annual event started in 2012 to create a beautiful and dignified shopping experience for high schoolers unable to afford a new dress. This one-day shopping boutique offers a diverse array of dress options, as well as jewelry, shoes and accessories. If you would like to contribute to the event, donations may be dropped off at the following Connecticut branches during normal business hours: Branford, Danbury, Hamden, Milford, Norwalk, Stamford and Waterbury.

The need for blood donations has only increased with the ongoing pandemic to help meet the increasing demands of patient care. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. In partnership with the Little Free Library program at the Teaneck Creek Conservancy, throughout March AAA branches are collecting books. The Little Free Library program is designed to make a lasting positive impact by encouraging literacy and improving reading motivation for all ages. These freestanding mini-libraries are intended to provide a rotating inventory of donated books for users to give and take at will. All varieties, age-ranges, genres and subjects are accepted. Donations can be brought to participating AAA branches.

In partnership with the Grace Episcopal Church of Whitestone, AAA Queens is collecting unopened baby diaper packages throughout March. All sizes are accepted. Startlingly, 1 in 3 families struggles with diaper needs. It is no surprise when presented with the fact that babies require up to 12 diapers per day, costing $70-$80 per month per baby. Consider donating to this diaper drive and help families within our community who are in need.

The Staples Plaza businesses, including AAA, have joined together in partnership with the Salvation Army to sponsor an Angel Tree. Your donation will help bring joy to local families. This program provides new clothing and toys to more than one million people in need each year. Simply pick a tag off the Angel Tree located inside AAA Fairfield and return the gift before December 11. Then the Salvation Army will distribute them to families in need.

Animal shelters within the area are always in need of supplies. This year, AAA is organizing a pet supplies donation drive to help benefit local shelters within our community. Just look for the donation bins at your local AAA branch.

Eva's Village is a behavioral health and social service organization whose mission is to provide care and support to those struggling with poverty, hunger, homelessness and addiction. This holiday season, AAA is partnering with Eva’s Village to collect some of the most needed items for their patrons. Donations will be assembled into gift bags distributed during the December 25th holiday meal.

Most needed items include: fleece blankets (50”w x 60”h), hats, scarves, gloves, socks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, full-size shampoo, deodorant, soap, and face masks. Please no mouthwash or hand sanitizer.

Starting on Giving Tuesday, join AAA as we collect warm weather accessories from December 1 - 31. This holiday season consider purchasing extra scarves, hats, mittens, gloves, or socks while shopping. Join Us as We Hand-Sew Cloth Masks for Local Donations

Many individuals, groups and businesses across the country are banding together to generously offer their time, supplies and services by sewing cloth masks for community members. As the demand increases, we welcome members to join our AAA employees in donating hand-sewn cloth masks. In partnership with the Meals on Wheels of RI and Kent County YMCA, all donations will be distributed throughout the local Rhode Island community. 

Hand-sewn cloth masks can be dropped off or mailed to our Headquarters location. Please address deliveries to The Mask Making Team at 110 Royal Little Drive, Providence, RI, 02904. All mask donations must be sealed in a plastic bag. A plastic bin will be in the entry to the building for drop-off purposes.

A recommended sewing pattern, along with suggested cloth materials is provided here.

Bergen County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a non-profit organization comprised of volunteers appointed by the NJ Family Court to advocate for children removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect. Many young adults are aging out of the foster care program and CASA is seeking toiletries donations. These donations provide the fundamental necessities needed when youths are starting off on their own.

Most needed items for males and females include shampoo/conditioner, body wash/soap, deodorant, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, face wash, makeup remover wipes, loofahs, body spray, Q-tips, shaving cream (no razors).

The event will be held in the Knobloch Family Farmhouse from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on October 14. Your generous donations will help benefit patients like Rachel who is battling Leukemia, an aggressive form of blood cancer. She has received many transfusions throughout her treatment, and she feels it is important to do her part to help replenish the blood banks. As a thank you, all donors receive one free admission pass to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.
