Join Us as We Hand-Sew Cloth Masks for Local Donations

Many individuals, groups and businesses across the country are banding together to generously offer their time, supplies and services by sewing cloth masks for community members. As the demand increases, we welcome members to join our AAA employees in donating hand-sewn cloth masks. In partnership with the Meals on Wheels of RI and Kent County YMCA, all donations will be distributed throughout the local Rhode Island community.

Hand-sewn cloth masks can be dropped off or mailed to our Headquarters location. Please address deliveries to The Mask Making Team at 110 Royal Little Drive, Providence, RI, 02904. All mask donations must be sealed in a plastic bag. A plastic bin will be in the entry to the building for drop-off purposes.

A recommended sewing pattern, along with suggested cloth materials is provided here.

Thank you for donating your time and talent to help our local Rhode Island community. We appreciate your generosity.

Before starting this project, please ask yourself the following questions:

1.     Have you been in contact with anyone suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

2.     Do you have fever, cough or shortness of breath?

If you answer "NO" to both questions, then proceed with making masks.

If you answer "YES" to either or both questions, please do not make masks. If you are experiencing cough, fever, or shortness of breath and have a concern that you may have COVID-19 please call your primary care provider for a risk assessment.
