COVID-19 Updates

As COVID-19 continues to present communities and businesses across the globe with unique challenges, our priority remains the same: the health and safety of our AAA Northeast employees and members.

As we navigate this dynamic situation, community-by-community, we will be adapting our branch experience and in some cases temporarily closing a branch.

Some of our Rhode Island branches are temporarily closed and only select branches are conducting registry services by walk-up appointment. Please click here to find a location near you.

Select Massachusetts AAA branches are conducting registry services and may be experiencing long wait times. For more information, please click here

Thank you for your understanding.

We have temporarily closed our branch locations in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. They will remain closed until further notice.

Our roadside assistance service providers remain ready and available to assist members in need. You can request roadside assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 800-AAA-HELPrequesting it online or through our mobile app.

We’ve enacted work from home protocols for our employees, so our membership, insurance, travel, and banking representatives are also still available to our members in these states to help you enjoy the benefits you’ve come to expect from AAA. For your safety and the safety of the servicing technician, we ask that you maintain the CDC’s recommended social distance guidelines while your car is being serviced. If you require a tow, we also ask that you please make alternate transportation arrangements. Riding in the cab of the tow truck does not comply with the CDC’s social distance standards.

We’re taking preventative measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and will be limiting contact with members during service calls. Some precautions we’ll be taking include:

  • We’ll be following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s best practices for protection, such as avoiding close contact, maintaining and using hand sanitizer and not shaking hands.
  • At the time of service, if you’re not feeling well or have been contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19, we’ll work with you to arrange alternate transportation if your vehicle requires a tow.
  • Cleaning our road service vehicles multiple times throughout the day.

Our AAA Travel agents are proactively reaching out to those who have upcoming travel planned. Right now, our focus is on supporting our members who need immediate assistance to return home, or those who are due to travel in the next week. If your trip is not within the next seven days, please wait to call us so we can help those traveling immediately. We greatly appreciate your patience during this time.
