A Message to AAA Northeast Members During the COVID-19 Pandemic

As COVID-19 continues to present communities and businesses across the globe with unique challenges, our priority remains the same: the health and safety of our AAA Northeast employees and members.

We’re here for you

Over the last few months, we’ve focused on pivoting the way we do business to continue to do what we’ve always done: be there when you need us, to help and serve our members, our communities and our employees — on and off the road.

Our priorities have been twofold: keep our employees and members safe and do everything we can to retain every employee at AAA Northeast throughout this profound time. There’s a lot of work left to do, but we’re confident that by working together and supporting one another we will get through this and be stronger because of it. We know you have questions, and we want to make sure you have the most up-to-date information on how we are working to support you.

How will the COVID-19 crisis affect my membership?

The benefits you’ve come to enjoy with your AAA membership remain available during this time. Please call us to learn how we can help. Additionally, we’ve made it easier to extend our services to your loved ones during this difficult time. You can now add a family member to your membership free for their first year, or upgrade your membership for just $15 for yourself and $10 for each associate on your membership.

I’m still driving, and I want to know I can rely on AAA Roadside Assistance.

Our service providers remain ready and available to assist members in need. You can request roadside assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 800-AAA-HELP, requesting it online or through our mobile app. For your safety and the safety of the service technician, we ask that you maintain the Centers for Disease Control’s recommended social distance guidelines while your car is being serviced. If you require a tow, we also ask that you please make alternate transportation arrangements to comply with the CDC’s guidelines.

As we begin to reopen select branches based on state guidelines, we’ve implemented several new measures to ensure the health and safety of our members and employees. Before heading out, check AAA.com for a complete list of open locations, as availability may vary daily.

Increased Cleaning and Precautions:
AAA employees are dedicated to sanitizing surfaces throughout the day including supplies, card readers, counters, and common areas. For increased protection, plexiglass barriers have been installed between employees and members. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment and sanitize their hands between member transactions. Any at-risk or sick employee will work from home until symptoms subside. For the health and safety of everyone, we request that anyone entering our branches agree to wear a mask, follow social distancing guidelines and all other safety policies in place. These policies are in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Appointments Required for In-Branch Registry Services:
An appointment is now required for Rhode Island DMV and Massachusetts RMV transactions and limited reservations are available, so be sure to schedule your visit before heading to a branch. By visiting AAA.com/Appointments, you can reserve a time and select a branch that is convenient for you.

Curbside Pickup or Drop-off:
When applicable, all other memberships transactions will be curbside pickup or drop-off only. AAA employees will complete requests and personally deliver directly to your vehicle. For services that require entry into the branch, an employee stationed at the front door will advise when the next available agent is ready to serve you. Capacity restrictions and preventative measures in place follow state mandates.

Many member services including membership, travel, insurance and banking are available by phone, online or through the Mobile App.
