Puerto Rico: Puerto Rico’s breathtaking scenery, food and people were incredible. Visiting Old San Juan and experiencing a walking food tour was my favorite. The Choco bar, a café where every dish has chocolate included, was the day’s highlight. In Ponce, we toured the Don Q distillery and mixed a couple of traditional Puerto Rican drinks. When visiting Puerto Rico, be sure to branch out to the different cities throughout the island, they all have such a unique niche to them; and the people are nothing but inviting and informative about any question you may have.

Rhine River: Viking was fabulous! The ship and staff were wonderful, and the ports were excellent. The included tours were so informative, and the purchased tours were great — all the local guides were so knowledgeable. River cruises are the way to see Europe. For the most part, we docked within walking distance of the town or city or had a short bus ride making it very convenient. An enjoyable part of river cruising is the people you meet on the ship and the friendships you form due to the small number of guests. Can’t wait for my next one!

National Parks: “Visiting the national parks was an amazing experience. The views are all jaw-dropping, eye-popping and breathtaking. It is not about visiting a park, but the whole experience of being outdoors in a unique environment is what leaves you speechless. I visited the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion, and each park is unique and beautiful in its own way. A favorite experience was flying over the Grand Canyon in a 12-seat propeller plane. A visit to a national park should be on everyone’s bucket list.”

people, the cultures and the food, all of it! From Venice and all the fascinating canals and squares to Burano with the beautiful lace and colorful homes, to Murano and the art of glass blowing — the islands are a magical world all of their own. In Florence, we saw the beautiful Duomo and iconic museums with David, Venus and religious buildings. In Rome, we had private tours of the Vatican and the Colosseum. We threw a coin over our shoulder into the Trevi Fountain to ensure we will return. We will.

Walt Disney World: My trip to Walt Disney World was magical! We spent most of our time in Epcot. The new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is hands-down the best ride on Disney property. The visuals and theming were out of this world. We also enjoyed Epcot’s annual Food and Wine Festival. There are endless food options. My favorites were the fry flight from the Fry Basket, the Hana Fuji apple sake from Japan and the pan-fried chicken dumplings with house made sweet and spicy sauce from China. The Food and Wine Festival is a must-do for anyone of any age, and I cannot wait to go back and do it again!
